Micro Scalp Pigmentation is an effective treatment for men and woman suffering from hair loss; either as a standalone treatment, combined with surgical hair restoration or used along with hair loss medications. MSP simulates the appearance of a shaved head of hair; it can also be used to camouflage scarring and can be used with many hair loss conditions to improve the look and self-confidence of the individual. This non-invasive treatment gives immediate results, requires little maintenance and provides perfectly natural looking results.
Many of the Vinci Hair Clinic team have undergone MSP and have a great belief in the treatment as a successful method of giving the look of a good head of shaved hair. We have developed the technique and constantly look to refine our methods to give life changing results to our clients.
MSP offers an alternative to the traditional hair restoration methods, and allows those that are not good hair transplant candidates, want to have a shaved head of hair look, or simply not interested in a surgical option. It also allows us to treat severe cases such as scarring, and alopecia Universalis that can have a profound effect on an individual’s self-confidence.
What is Micro Scalp Pigmentation?
Often considered to be simple tattooing procedure, MSP is a sophisticated treatment based on highly specialised tattooing. It must be performed by an expert practitioner and in the correct hands gives incredibly natural looking simulation of a shaved head of hair.
For sufferers of androgenic alopecia, (MPB) male pattern baldness, MSP delivers an effective cosmetic solution. Regardless of the Norwood hair loss stage we can restore you back to a lower hair loss stage of your choice, with the look of a finely shaved hair style.

About Our Customer Reviews
Vinci Hair Clinic prides itself in producing the most natural looking MSP results for its clients. Considerations including the MSP colour, hair line design and other factors are combined to produce the very best result possible for our satisfied clients.
Micro Scalp Pigmentation Results
The specialist equipment and needles used to perform this technique are far superior to traditional tattooing generally used; as well as not needing to place the tone as deep as other tattooing methods. With many different ink tones at our disposal we can match to your natural hair colour making a seamless blend with your native hair.
With our years of experience in surgical hair restoration and other forms of hair loss treatments it gives us an edge understanding facial variants and bone structure; and creating natural hair lines that frame the face and give back that youthful appearance.
MSP appeals to many who do not wish to go down the surgical restoration route; a hair line can be created to appear perfectly natural with a soft grade of tone building up to the look of a greater density, no different to a natural shaved head of hair. We can blend into native hair or mix with a hair transplant procedure to give the most natural results possible.
Examples of Micro Scalp Pigmentation Procedures
Micro Scalp Pigmentation (often referred to as simply Scalp Pigmentation or Scalp MicroPigmentation) creates a hair replica by placing tiny particles of pigment in the scalp. Each follicle is individually simulated by an experienced technician, who is trained and certified by Vinci Hair Clinic, and then supervised by our senior medical team.
As the first medical Clinic in the world to carry out MSP, we registered the this as a trade name: MSP – Micro Scalp Pigmentation. Having now performed over 20,000 treatments world-wide in our many specialist clinics, where we put our client’s needs and care first, wherever you may start or need to finish your treatment.
Treatment is generally carried out over two or three sessions, with a small interval between each session to allow the scalp to relax and the pigmentation to settle. Although total coverage can be gained in the first session for most candidates the following sessions are designed to refine your result; adjustments in tone darkness, variants in tone as some scalp areas take the pigment differently and possibly hair line design refinements.
Dependent on the area to be treated a session can take between 2-5 hours, with breaks to stretch your legs and relax. MSP is not a painful experience, the majority of the time no anaesthesia is required, and if so it can be applied topically, no injections. Most feel no more than a light tingling sensation, and there is no loss of sensation or feeling; a little slight redness that goes within a day or two.
How long MSP can last can depend on a number of factors; we use high grade pigmentation inks to ensure longevity, but it can also be affected by the natural skin characteristics. At Vinci Hair Clinics we rarely see clients coming back before 5 years. Slight fading can occur over time and this can be easily remedied, increasing the tone darkness or density, redefining your hair line back to your first treatment if that is your wish. For your convenience and to show our commitment to our clients you may visit any of our Clinics around the world.
We also have an Micro Scalp Pigmentation Online Simulation Tool where you can try to see how you would look with a MSP procedure.
