Scalp Micro Pigmentation
SMP and FUE Combination
With careful long term planning, Vinci Hair Clinic can now combine the Micro Scalp Pigmentation (MSP) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). These are two effective methods which allow you to have more of a natural hair coverage over the balding and thinning areas whilst combining the MSP to give you maximum coverage.
MSP is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment in which medical grade pigment is deposited into your scalp, matching your hair's natural colour to create a seamless blend.
The Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant is when your hair follicles are extracted individually using a circular punch, usually 1mm or less in diameter. Once extracted, the grafts are then cleaned and checked for quality which are then placed in the recipient area. Due to the extraction method no stitches or sutures are required and no linear scar is left, allowing you to keep a short or near shaved hair style.Procedure Videos
When combining the FUE with Micro Scalp Pigmentation, the FUE grafts can be distributed over a greater surface area whilst the MSP is used to build up the look of density between the grafts. This will result in being able to cover a larger surface.
First, we will perform the FUE procedure and allow the scalp to heal and settle over 3-4 months before we perform the MSP. The results from MSP are immediate, although it may take two or three sessions to refine the result and naturally blend with your new hair.
Being able to combine the two procedures will give you the opportunity to have the look of total coverage that you could never achieve from just having the FUE alone.
Tests and Consulting
We offer face to face consultations where we can discuss your individual requirements. Under a microscope we will evaluate and measure your donor area to ensure you are a suitable candidate for a Hair Transplant.
A personalised treatment programme will be tailored for each individual along with payment and finance options.
FUE is performed under local anaesthetic, has little discomfort, even when large sessions are performed. There is no need for stitches and recovery time is fast, allowing the individual to resume their normal lifestyle with little inconvenience.
The MSP is then performed 3 – 4 months post-op once your scalp has healed and the new hairs have started to come through. Three sessions will be required to achieve the final look.
FUE/MSP combination will give you more freedom and people around you will not notice anything but the look of thicker and fuller hair.
Little maintenance is required when it comes to the FUE/MSP combination. Keeping a short-cropped hairstyle at all times will ensure you will have the perfect result, not to mention your MSP is guaranteed for 5 years!
